A Career Built on Advanced Training and Patient-Centred Care
Dr. Onur Cavus, BDS, PhD, is a general dentist certified by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, providing comprehensive dental care with a special focus on implant dentistry, oral surgery, and sedation.
He brings nearly 20 years of clinical experience and doctoral-level training in oral surgery, completed in Turkey, to deliver care that is precise, evidence-based, and patient-focused.
Through Implant Dentistry Toronto™, Dr. Cavus serves patients across Toronto and North York, combining advanced treatment techniques with a personalized, compassionate approach.
Academic and Professional Background
Dr. Cavus earned both his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2005 and his Doctorate (PhD) in Oral Surgery in 2011 from Marmara University, Istanbul — one of Turkey’s leading dental schools.
His doctoral research and surgical training focused on implantology, bone and soft-tissue reconstruction, and advanced oral surgery techniques.
From 2011 to 2019, Dr. Cavus owned and operated a private dental clinic in Istanbul’s Caddebostan district, where he provided a broad range of general, surgical, and implant treatments.
During his tenure in Turkey, he was recognized as an experienced clinician and educator, having;
Delivered hands-on training courses on autogenous bone grafting,
Served as an invited speaker at professional dental meetings, and
Lectured at a Nobel Biocare Academy symposium shortly before relocating to Canada.
After moving to Toronto, Dr. Cavus successfully completed the NDEB equivalency process and has been practicing in Ontario since 2022.
