Welcome to Implant Dentistry Toronto

Your first visit is an important step in understanding your dental health and planning personalized care. We value your time and comfort, and we aim to make your experience efficient, informative, and stress-free.

What to Expect

Your first visit includes a comprehensive new patient examination or a focused consultation, depending on your needs. During this visit, we will review your dental health, discuss your concerns, and outline the most appropriate treatment options.

In many cases, necessary dental procedures or surgery can be performed during the same appointment. For wisdom teeth removal, surgery is often completed on the same day as the consultation, depending on your medical history, examination findings, and sedation preferences.

More complex cases, or those requiring additional planning, may be scheduled for treatment at a later date.

What to Bring

To make your visit efficient, please bring:

  • A list of your current medications.

  • Your dental insurance card or policy details.

  • Any recent dental x-rays (within the past 12 months), if available.

This information helps us assess your health accurately and assist with insurance submissions when possible.

Medical Information

Before your appointment, please inform us if you have any of the following:

  • Diabetes or high blood pressure

  • Heart disease, artificial joints, or a history of rheumatic fever

  • Use of blood thinners or osteoporosis medications (e.g., Alendronate, Fosamax)

This allows us to plan your treatment safely and tailor care to your specific needs.

For Patients Receiving IV Sedation

If your appointment involves IV sedation:

  • Do not eat or drink for 8 hours before your scheduled time.

  • A responsible adult must accompany you, drive you home, and remain with you for the rest of the day.

A preoperative consultation will be completed before your sedation procedure to review your medical history and ensure safety.

Patients Under 18

Patients under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the consultation.

X-Rays

If you have existing x-rays, please bring them or have your previous dentist forward them to us.

If new images are needed, we will take digital dental x-rays during your visit.

For cases requiring detailed 3D assessment, we may refer you to a trusted CBCT imaging center.

We look forward to welcoming you and providing care that is safe, precise, and personalized to your needs.
